The Olu of Ifoland, HRM Oba Atanda Oladipupo, has berated the action of the executive members of the CDA where situates the Ogun State Housing Corporation (OGHC), Ifo, for tagging him an enemy of progress.
Kabiesi, as a result of his insight over the construction of drainage on the estate’s road, has expressed displeasure against the wrong notion been peddled by the leaders of the CDA on social media.
Oba Oladipupo noted that the project is good but the timing and logistics were not properly fashioned such that it has blocked the main road that links the Estate.
Corroborating Oba Oladipupo, the LOGPAN State Chairman, Chief Sikiru Ayilara, lamented the difficulties been experienced by the people of the community.
Ayilara noted that “it was the wisdom of His Royal Majesty that stopped the executive members of the CDA from effecting more damage on the other side of the road”, which could have rendered both roads leading to the estate impliable.
He furthered that had it been the leadership of the CDA possessed knowledge needed to carry out communal project, “they would have readily reasoned along with the experienced monarch” instead of tagging Kabiesi enemy of progressive society.
The former Local Government Secretary therefore called on the state government to quickly come to the aid of the community, added that it will be beneficial to both the government and the community if the Ministry of Community Development can deem it fit “to enroll at least, the trio of Mrs Akinbami, Dr Soremekun, and Prince Oseghaie into Shasha Community Development School where they can be given adequate orientation on planning and implementation of community project”.
